We have been appointed by VTree™ Solar to be the general designer and project manager for their pilot project in Giurgiu for the production of hydrogen from renewable energy and its use as a means of energy storage and for fuelling fuel cell trucks and ships. A major move on sustainability in the context of European commitments to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
The peak output of the hydrogen plant is expected to be 1.000 Nm³/h and the plant will have PEM electrolysers. The plant should allow hydrogen to be used for energy production when there is no demand for hydrogen as a fuel. The main energy source will be a photovoltaic plant, also included in the scope of work.
